Exhibition of works by GRIGORY POTOTSKY "Bronze World"

The exposition includes sculptural works of different years and paintings of the "nude" genre. The artist often says about himself "I am a painter in sculpture and a sculptor in painting." In his portraits, the master tries to remain within the framework of the academic tradition, but for him the search for new plastic solutions for revealing the expressive content of images is no less important.

Grigory Pototsky created a gallery of sculptural portraits of prominent contemporary actors: J. Depardieu, P. Richard, S. Aznavour, I. Smoktunovsky, writers: N. Gogol, A. Solzhenitsyn, A. Kim, A. Platonov, P. Coelho, T. Guerra, M. Pavicha. The sculptors are interested in outstanding personalities of the past and his contemporaries; he carefully approaches the creation of each image.

With particular attention, trying to document the cultural and intellectual section of the era, he turns to the portraits of the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia, Cyril I and the Patriarch of All Georgia Ilya II, the spiritual leader of all the Mongols, Bogdo-gegan IX, the Dalai Lama, academicians A.D. Sakharov, Yu.B. Khariton, V. Alferov, V. Skvirsky, Yu. Kurazhkovsky.

Grigory Viktorovich Pototsky was born in 1954 in the village of Malyshevo, Kurgan region. In 1977 he graduated from the sculpture department OGHU them. M.B. Grekov in Odessa, specializing in sculpture. Since 1985 - a member of the Union of Artists. Since 1971, he has been constantly participating in Moscow and international exhibitions. Installed more than 120 monuments in 36 countries.
