Exhibition of works by Rita Khaso and Bilar Tsarikayev

Prechistenka 21, an exhibition of works by the Honored Artist of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania Rita Khaso (painting) and the Honored Artist of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania Bilar Tsarikayev (sculpture) opens.

Rita Khaso (Bitsieva Rita Kazbekovna) was born in North Ossetia. The beauty of nature of this amazingly picturesque region could not but affect the worldview of the future artist. She studied at the Ordzhonikidze Art College, Leningrad State Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture named after I. Repin, at the Faculty of Painting of North Ossetian State University named after K. L. Khetagurov. Lives and works in Moscow.

Rita Khaso in her work addresses genres: landscape, still life, portrait. Arranging the work in certain color combinations, the artist attaches great importance to the material itself, the features of the stroke, texture, enhancing the emotional expressiveness of the painting. Here the artist’s ability to use the decorative meaning of color, its ability to solve complex pictorial problems to achieve a figurative transfer of reality are also manifested.

Rita Haso has her own view of our daily lives. She knows how to create a three-dimensional image in space and time, full of color, rhythmic and plastic harmony. Her work is distinguished by a dynamic composition composition, a rich tonal-spatial solution, and a fine study of the texture of the canvas.

Rita Khaso successfully combines creative work in painting with pedagogical. He is a professor, a candidate of science. Since 2010 - Head. Department of Design MIIGAiK. Member of the Union of Artists of Russia and the Moscow Union of Artists. Laureate of the II degree of the International Exhibition - Competition "Russian Art Week", 2009, Moscow.

Rita Khaso’s works are in collections of Russian museums, including the State Tretyakov Gallery, the M.S. Tuganov Art Museum, and in private collections in Russia, Germany and Japan. For the painting "Premonition" (2011), the artist received a letter of thanks from the State Tretyakov Gallery.

According to academician Vl. Soskieva, "Rita Khaso is certainly a very interesting artist with great creative potential."

Bilar Tsarikayev was born in 1955 in North Ossetia. He graduated from the Vladikavkaz Art College, in 1990 - the Faculty of Sculpture of the Moscow State Art Institute. V.I. Surikova, where he studied under prof. P.I. Bondarenko. Member of numerous art exhibitions and symposia. Member of the Moscow Union of Artists.

The works of Bilar Tsarikayev are extraordinary, paradoxical in concept and form. They are fabulous, intricate, metaphorical. The artist invented his own sculptural form, or rather, a universal voluminous substance, continuous, viscous. This form penetrates all the sculptures, regardless of the plot.

In the works of Tsarikayev, the influence of archaic, naive art is noticeable. The artist’s plastic tricks are unobtrusive, delicate, but they have something bewitching and majestic.

B. Tsarikaev refers to ancient and gospel motifs, traditions and legends of different nations, images of the Ossetian epos. He does not illustrate famous stories, but on their basis creates his own original epic. His heroes are Jesus Christ and the Apostles, Ilya the Prophet on a chariot of fire, Picasso, Meyerhold, Pirosmani, Muse Dali, totem deer and rams, Neolithic Venus. An inexhaustible source of artistic fantasies for Tsarikayev was Avsati - the Ossetian deity of hunting, forest, animals.

Genre motifs (“Behind the Hay”, “Kurovor”) find in his compositions a vivid imagery, metaphor, parable beginning.

In the 1990s - 2000s, Tsarikayev created a whole group of sculptural staves. Huge, taller than human height, as if destined for mythical giants, cast in bronze, standing firmly on the ground. Each staff symbolizes the path of myth, or the path of the prophet, or a significant stage in the life of people (family, clan) - birth, wedding, remembrance.

Staff "St. George ”- his wings are openwork and weightless, contrast with the stocky figure of a horse. The gaps tearing the overall composition of the figure turn it into an exquisite lace ligature. In the staff of "St. Ilya ”- openwork, lightness and weightlessness. “Wedding Staff” - the bride turns into a bird soaring in the sky. All the staffs are sounding, bronze bells are suspended from them.

Bilar Tsarikayev masterly conveys the feeling of flying. His element is weightless sculptural tops. Such is the rod of Ascension (1998). Christ with outstretched arms. Abris spheres, like living beings, repeatedly circle the head and body of Christ.

The sculptor works in bronze. According to art critic A. Tanduyeva, “he manages to combine poorly combined things - etudes, some sketchiness of a work with its full-fledged completeness. Expressive neural modeling on clay makes bronze breathe, vibrate, and speak. ”

According to art critic S. Orlov, “the genetics of Tsarikayev’s own sculptural form dates back to the plastic experiments of Pablo Picasso, Alberto Giacometti, Salvador Dali. These three masters undoubtedly had a decisive influence on him and in absentia formed his original author’s style. ”

B. Tsarikaev was awarded the gold medal of the Russian Academy of Arts. In 2013, he became a laureate of the anniversary international exhibition-competition of the Creative Union of Designers (in the nomination "Sculpture"), Moscow.

The sculptor’s works are in the collections of many museums, including the State Tretyakov Gallery, as well as in private collections in Russia and abroad.
