An exhibition is opened in the “On Kashirka” Gallery of the “Exhibition Halls of Moscow” Gallery, which demonstrates the breadth of interpretations of the “troika” theme in a variety of directions, objects and materials: from ancient symbols to contemporary art, from realism to abstractionism.

The metaphor created by N. V. Gogol - “Russia is a bird-three” - became the conceptual basis of the exposition. The exhibition opens on the day of the 165th anniversary of the writer’s death - March 4 and ends on his birthday - April 1. The symbolism of these timelines emphasizes the general meaning of the exhibition: the disclosure of the image of Russia - the three birds as an embodiment of the movement towards revival and development, as well as through the triad principle in world religions, in scientific, philosophical, mathematical and biological doctrines.

The exposition includes works by famous contemporary artists from Russia and other countries in techniques: painting, arts and crafts, sculpture, installation, video art, cartoons, postcards, the artist’s author’s book (book art), and household items. The exhibition provided printed graphics from the House of N. V. Gogol in Moscow.

The exhibition program includes lectures, poetry readings, and concerts.
