Exhibition of student illustrations "World 2.0" 6+

April 13 at the Gallery of Siberian Art (Karl Marx St., 23) begins the exhibition of illustrations "World 2. 0". The exposition is organized as part of the interaction of the Irkutsk Art Museum with young artists and presents about 30 student works, created, among other things, based on modern works of literature, cinema, music and computer games. The curator was a teacher of the Irkutsk Regional Art College. I. L. Kopylova Alexander Beshnova.

The exposition “World 2.0” expands the concept of classical illustration and enters into a kind of dialogue with the exhibition “Wonderland. Book Artists for Children”, which opened at the Gallery of Siberian Art last week. Students of the Irkutsk Art College not only create illustrations for the poems of famous poets such as Yuri Levitansky and Vladimir Mayakovsky, but also comprehend the modern media space with the help of digital art: the music and film industry, computer games and comics. Thus, young authors create a new concept of illustration as a genre.
