Exhibition "Transfiguration". Yusuke Akamatsu 18+

For the first time in Russia, the exhibition "Transfiguration" will present digital paintings by the Japanese master Yusuke Akamatsu.

Yusuke Akamatsu uses his iPhone as a canvas. The basis of his work is photographs, which the artist transforms into abstract images with the help of color and fantasy.

“The Digital Finger Painting technique implies the use of modern computer technologies,” says the curator of the exhibition Natalia Bezrukova. "This trend in media art gives the artist special opportunities to create vivid and expressive images."

Yusuke Akamatsu’s digital art is not only “finger art”. The artist has his own view of the world, both romantic and nostalgic. The author seems to be telling us: "There is still hope for the best."

According to Natalia Bezrukova, “with his images, Yusuke Akamatsu synthesizes such psychological states as fear, aggression, expectation, surprise, and alertness. For the last year and a half, all these conditions are especially close to us. "

In 1997, after 15 years in television, Yusuke Akamatsu left Japan to travel and pursue a career as an artist. During his travels, he sensed that changes in society were happening very quickly. To keep track of them, you need to strive to expand the boundaries of your perception, not forgetting to refer to the knowledge and experience accumulated by humanity.

By "transfiguration" the artist means the transformation of the world and man. “Before you start transforming the world, start this transformation from yourself,” says Yusuke Akamatsu. "Only by developing, working on ourselves and taking full responsibility for our lives, as a species, can we change the world for the better."
