Exhibition "Three Little Pigs with Earthen Boar"

In the St. Petersburg Museum of Puppets, in a large exhibition hall, an exhibition of pigs from the private collection of Ekaterina Vasilyeva, which she has been collecting since the early 1990s, will open. In a single exhibition space will be collected various copyrighted works, soft toys, souvenir and printed materials.

The opening date of the exhibition was not chosen by chance; each year, according to the Eastern - Chinese, Japanese horoscope, it has a certain patron. The Year of the Earth Boar comes into its own on February 5, 2019. According to Chinese mythology, the Earth Boar is a symbol of military power and fertility.

Russia has its own mythology. Three little pigs are almost the national idea of Russia. Lazy, smart, reckless and hardworking - all these are traits of a national character.
