Exhibition "Your Name" by artist Konstantin Polyakov

In the gallery "ART. Object ”from December 14, 2017 to January 21, 2018, the exhibition“ Your Name ”by the artist Konstantin Polyakov will be opened.

Konstantin Polyakov is a member of the Creative Union of Russian Artists. Since 2001, lives and works in St. Petersburg. His works are in the collections of the Tsarskoye Selo Selskiy Museum (Pushkin), the St. Petersburg Museum of Modern Art Erart, the Essentuki Museum of Local Lore named after V.P. Shpakovsky, the Hermitage-Vyborg Exhibition Center, the State Museum of Artistic Culture of Novgorod Land, the Museum of Fine Arts Arts of the Republic of Karelia, the Museum of Fine Arts of Arkhangelsk, the Murmansk Regional Art Museum, the Pskov Museum of the Reserve, as well as in private collections in Russia and abroad th.

The exhibition will feature graphics, painting and designer porcelain, where the main theme was a new understanding of the female image.

The constant desire of art to master new topics and plots, all the same, cannot ignore the list of (of) eternal questions that arise in certain periods one way or another in front of each artist.

Among them is the women’s issue, which, transforming in every decade under the influence of social norms, fashion and other changes, firstly, does not lose its relevance, and secondly, in each period it has its own shades and nuances, at the end of tenths years of the 21st century is reformulated in the phrase "position of a woman."

Konstantin Polyakov carefully focuses on the position of a woman, introducing his own revolutionary nuances into the nervous and rapid schedule. The artist places objects on the sheet contrary to the canons, mixes materials of opposite quality and character, watches the model from a distance, and passion here is only his desire to express his own experience with a line or spot.

The courage of the creative manner is also supported by a general focus on the issues of the personal and the hidden. But this opposition is imaginary - illusion and exposure here - only a method of speaking, searching for harmony and intonation for the new sound of familiar themes.
