The artistic chronicle of the war years preserves images of true patriotism, allowing the modern viewer to see the courage of the inhabitants of the hero-cities - Stalingrad, Leningrad, Moscow....
The exhibition presents monumental canvases of Soviet painters - Yevgeny Gribov, Mark Malyutin, Konstantin Yuon, telling about the terrible days when guns thundered and the soldiers left for their last battle. Also expressive are the numerous graphic sheets depicting the resilience of people who are not broken by oppression of their misfortunes. These people are heroes, fighters and workers who met the glorious Victory Day.
