“Winter practices” are exhibitions in which the works of various artists are combined into a total installation with the theme of winter and winter activities: here there is meditative needlework to the sound of a cricket, and a terrible fairy tale to the howling of a blizzard.
GRUND Sandy.
“Winter practices. Horrible in art. ”
GRUND “Sandy” offers to see the frightening side of winter. The exposition “Terrible in Art” will feature works by young artists Alexei Vasilyev, Maria Minakova, the art group CrocodilePower (Oksana Simatova and Petr Goloshchapov) and famous artist and curator Katya Bochavar.
Young artists of the Triumph Gallery - Masha Minakova, Alexei Vasilyev and the CrocodilePower art group - reflect on elusive reality, in their works there is a deconstruction of winter images, an unusual game with a familiar idea of New Year’s decoration, as an attempt to escape from an alien, artificial world as in this life, and after it.
“The Phantom Theater” - an unusual project using “animated pictures” presented in the state gallery on Solyanka - makes the New Year’s visit to GRAND “Sandy”. No wonder, because the author of The Phantom Theater is the curator of GRAUND, the artist Katya Bochavar. Now in the house on Novopeschanaya street ghosts will settle…
The leading theater and film actresses - Yulia Shimolina, Eva Cherro, Anna Khvostenko, Anna Litkens, Evgenia Borzykh - in mysterious twilight will tell fairy tales of the peoples of the world about snow fairies under improvisation, performed on ancient instruments by the legendary Russian musicians Pyotr Aidu, German Vinogradov, Grigory Krotenko and Elena Revich. Costumes for this performance were provided by famous Moscow designers and artists Khaik Simonyan, Sasha Frolova, Svetlana Tegin, Galina Solodovnikova and Dmitry Fedorov.
GRUND Khodynka.
A completely different atmosphere awaits visitors at the Khodynka GRUND, where the exposition “Winter Practices. Fine in art . ” All installations of this exhibition are interactive. Visitors are given the opportunity to co-sponsor artist Diana Vouba and the Ruki art group.
The Ruki art group (Mila Kuzina and Yekaterina Guseva), in Cross to Cross, offers everyone who wants to transform terrible reality into something new and absolutely beautiful with the help of a hoop and a mouline thread, using a loom of the last century to reproduce landscapes from picturesque cycles “Measurement of silence” and “Directions home” by Diana Vouba, and after talking with an old knitter, find out what are many Mandelbrot and where are the borders of the void (art group from Perm “Where the dogs run”).
