The art project of Daria Bagrintseva "The Course of Life" Automatic translate
From November 26 to November 29, 2014 The personal project of Daria Bagrintseva’s “Progress of Life” (Curriculum Vitae) will be shown. The project is presented in the Vauxhall art center, located in the old building of the Riga Station, one of the most beautiful railway stations in Moscow, built in 1901 according to the project of architect S.A. Brzhozovskogo (Rizhsky station square 1, left wing).
This is an exhibition about a person and his life path. From birth, through growing up, to wisdom.
The exhibition will first show about 40 new paintings by Daria Bagrintseva from the series "Friends of Childhood", "Seven" and Turn To Gold.
Daria Bagrintseva is an artist who has gained international fame for her memorable vivid works: emotional, expressive, piercing, paradoxical, multifaceted, but always sincere and full of life.
Each of her paintings is a separate story about the mood, feelings, experiences. Freedom and purity of perception - this is the main creative credo of the author. Sometimes Daria allows the viewer to touch the boundaries of what is permitted, to look into the world of the reserved, to feel the flight of desires, to go beyond space and form.
The name of Darya Bagrintseva is in the list of 50 world upcoming artists, she was awarded an honorary diploma of the Russian-Italian Academy of Ferroni for her contribution to world art, she is a laureate of the 4th contest "Moscow - the City of the World", awarded the Italian "Sandro Botticelli Prize".
Recently, Daria is not often seen in Russia. International exhibitions in the USA and EU countries take a lot of time. It is all the more significant that Daria holds her new exhibition, a new round in the creative development of the artist in Moscow.
Brief description of the project “The Move of Life” (Curriculum Vitae):
In childhood, a child has his favorite toys, his own special world in which there is everything and everything is possible. Children’s game is free. It is not about profit or self-interest, not about career, money or politics. And in difficult moments of growing up a person supports memories of warmth, of love, joy and security
At the very beginning of the “Life Course” exposition, the viewer is greeted by paintings from the series “Friends of Childhood”. They depict children’s toys. Each has its own character, its own story and its own relationship with other toys. According to the artist, the toys reflect our early experiences. It is as if they absorb the warmth of family and friends. Looking at them, we feel calm - there are true friends around, and there is still so much game and joy in life. And everything around is permeated with love, openness, trust, filled with that special bright happiness that exists only in childhood.
Then we grow up, and our games change. Someone only changes the size and complexity of the toys. The outside world draws someone into their games, enforcing their own rules and desires.
Following the author, the viewer "grows up." He becomes a participant in the installation, comprising a circle of 7 paintings, decorated with gold leaf. These are symbolic images visualized by passion. Seductive and alluring, like candies in a golden wrapper, they become the “Golden Cage” of desires, which we ourselves strive to get into. Pictures form a peculiar pagan altar with new gods and pseudo-icons.
Dizzying smells and enchanting sounds also support the atmosphere of temptation and eternal celebration. Sounds funny, fiery, music from the time of the Great Depression. This is the joy of life, in which, however, a breakdown and moral dissonance are guessed. This is the last tango, the final chord. But, if you stand in the center of the circle and put on your headphones, then the surrounding sounds disappear, a specially selected sound line sounds, which takes the viewer to a completely different dimension, makes you look at what is happening around from the other side.
From the “Golden Cage” there is salvation - this is a return to the Light. “Now is a very difficult time, a lot of talk, a lot of manipulation of the mass consciousness. I wanted to show that there is always a way out. A conscious choice of one’s own path, acceptance of responsibility for one’s decisions and actions open the way to the Light. We can return to a pure and sincere relationship, recall childhood spontaneity and openness, allow ourselves to be happy, becoming higher than the affections of a consumer society, ”says Daria Bagrintseva. As a symbol of rebirth and hope, she created a large-scale canvas symbolizing pure Light, flowing from the picture to the viewer.
