Anniversary performance based on the play "Leaning Tower of Pisa"

On November 12, 2016, the Moscow Drama Theater will host an anniversary performance based on the play “The Leaning Tower of Pisa” by the famous playwright Nadezhda Ptushkina.

For twenty years, theater actors E. Derzhavinskaya and S. Makeev told the viewer the story of the relationship of the couple and the problems they encountered.

“The play makes you think about issues that suddenly became relevant for the vast masses of people precisely in this era, which we call perestroika. Why is the institution of marriage so strong and so recognized? Why are people who live in a marriage much worse than if they lived alone still cherish this marriage? ”Says Nadezhda Ptushkina.

"The Leaning Tower of Pisa" is considered one of the most famous plays by the screenwriter and has been staged in many theaters in Russia for all this time. In 1996, Nadezhda Ptushkina verbally agreed to stage the play “The Leaning Tower of Pisa” at once to two theaters: the Stanislavsky Theater and the Theater “On the Fifth Floor” (now the Postscript Theater Studio) with one condition - the production at the Stanislavsky Theater was to be released first. The Stanislavsky Theater was supposed to release the play in February, and the Theater “On the Fifth Floor” (now the Postscript Theater Studio) in March. Rehearsals at the theater were on schedule, and the play was released on time. After the premiere, it became clear that the Stanislavsky Theater delayed the premiere of the play, and because of ignorance it turned out that the play “The Leaning Tower of Pisa” by Nadezhda Ptushkina was first put on the stage of the “On the fifth floor” theater.
