On October 1, 2026, at 4:00 pm, Andrei Bodrov’s solo exhibition “LIVING LINE OF IMAGE” (Graphics) will open at the Kaluga Museum of Fine Arts (104 Lenin St., Exhibition Hall).
Andrey Igorevich Bodrov was born in 1968 in Leningrad. He has been a member of the Union of Artists of Russia since 2000. He has participated in over 190 exhibitions in Russia and abroad, 82 of which were solo. His works are held in museum collections across Russia, including the State Russian Museum, as well as in private collections in Russia and abroad.
A.I. Bodrov is a follower of the Leningrad-St. Petersburg academic school, and his mentors included renowned graphic artists such as A.Z. Davydov, S.B. Epstein, and L.G. Bashkov. The artist worked in the experimental graphics workshop of the Graphic Arts Combine and studied in the etching studio of the Art-Craft art association, of which he remains a member.
Bodrov works in drypoint, etching, aquatint, cardboard engraving, monotype, and pastel. He often tries to reproduce the same motifs in different techniques, experimenting and exploring their potential. Urban and rural landscapes are Bodrov’s special focus. He is drawn to the "charm of the ordinary."
The exhibition will run until November 8, 2026, and will become a significant event in the world of Russian graphic art.
