The Golden Knight was awarded to the Perm Theater "At the Bridge"!

With a new victory, our famous "Mostovtsy" returned from Moscow. At the XII International Theater Forum “GOLDEN VITYAZ” for the performance “At the Bottom” Permians received the Main Golden Knight.

The program of the forum, organized by the outstanding artist Nikolai Burlyaev, was attended by 30 theaters from Russia and Europe. This year the competition was attended by very serious groups: ten Moscow theaters (there are six academic theaters), five foreign theaters from Serbia, Bulgaria, Belarus, Bosnia, and Israel. Among Moscow’s, such illustrious as the Fomenko Workshop, the Theater of the Russian Army, the Yermolova Theater, the School of Dramatic Art, the Nikitsky Gate Theater and others. The Most Theater played on the legendary stage of the Russian Army Theater, played on a small stage )and this scene accommodates 500 spectators).

It should be noted that already before the performance Permians made a splash. More than 800 people came to the play, of course, the security missed exactly 500 people and closed the doors tightly. Many famous theatrical people did not get to the performance: GITIS professor A.L. Yastrebov, theater director Alla Chepynoga, theater critic Valery Begunov, theater journalists and actors from Moscow theaters. And after the performance, there was already the second sensation of Perm, all 500 spectators in a single impulse jumped up and staged a real aviation! They called more than ten times, but it must be said that only the sophisticated Moscow audience was in the hall.

The editor-in-chief of the magazine "Theater Life" Oleg Pivovarov at a press conference but at the end of the festival said that such an "invasion" of the audience remembers only in the legendary times of the Taganka Theater. Festival President Nikolai Burlyaev praised the performance “At the Bottom” and named Sergey Fedotov one of the best theater directors of our time. The main director of the Theater of the Russian Army, People’s Artist of the Russian Federation Boris Morozov, noted a very rare culture of the performance in our time, an incredible ensemble, a detailed life of artists and an accurate direction that reveals the author’s direction.

The closing of the Golden Knight Slavic Theater Forum took place in the hall of the Church Councils of the Cathedral of Christ the Savior and was absolutely grandiose. The hall for two thousand seats was crowded. A truly solemn meeting was opened by His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, he said that the Golden Knight is now the main Russian forum in Russia and he blesses it again, as it did several years ago, and is very glad to see how the forum has grown over this time and expanding its borders far beyond the borders of Russia. Also, Nikita Mikhalkov, laureate of six Golden Knights, addressed the audience with congratulations, he noted that the forum is gaining increasing public recognition and he will always support it. The concert program was also saturated, like the festival itself, of course, the legendary Igor Moiseyev Dance Ensemble was in the lead, but the symphony orchestra and the “Oronezh Girls” ensemble were not weaker. The holiday was a success.

The award ceremony was led by the Vice President of the Forum, Serbian director Margarit Nikolov. When the owners of the Bronze and Silver Knights announced theaters from Bulgaria, Israel, and the Russian Melikhovo and Volgograd, the hall buzzed approvingly, unanimously supporting the decision of the International Jury. And when, in conclusion, Nikolai Burlyaev personally handed the Chief Golden Knight to Sergei Fedotov, the two-thousandth hall exploded with a standing ovation and shouts of “bravo”! This once again confirmed that the theater at the Bridge is well known and loved in Moscow. Already outside the program of the festival, at the request of the audience, Mostovtsy also played KalekInshman and Bezrukoy iz Spoken in Moscow, again with unchanged full houses. The trip to the 132nd festival of the Theater “Near the Bridge” ended triumphantly.
