I dont think we should glorify suicides, whether its Van Gogh, Mayakovsky, Tsvetaeva, or others. Its a grave sin; you didnt give yourself life, and you shouldnt take it away either. Those who have taken their own lives are definitely in hell. Live your life despite your enemies!
No matter how difficult it may be, or no matter what challenging circumstances you face, carry your cross to the end, as Jesus Christ commanded.
Although there is a theory that Van Gogh may have been murdered.

The subtext of this portrait is the artists intense introspection and emotional state. The swirling, dynamic background can be interpreted as a representation of his inner turmoil or the energetic forces he perceived in nature and the universe. His direct, almost confrontational gaze suggests a profound self-awareness and perhaps a struggle for self-understanding. The muted colors of his clothing, contrasted with the vibrant background, emphasize his presence and the rawness of his emotional experience. This self-portrait is often seen as a window into Van Goghs psychological landscape, conveying both his vulnerability and his artistic intensity.
