I love this painting.
Is it not called Starry Night Over the Rhone?
Absolutely correct: the painting is called Starry Night Over the Rhône.
Its so simple and yet so brilliant.
You cannot comment Why?
In the painting Starry Night, you see a moonlit night sky filled with swirling stars and a bright crescent moon. Below the sky is a dark, undulating landscape with a village nestled in the distance. A tall, flame-like cypress tree dominates the left side of the canvas, reaching towards the sky. The village is illuminated by warm, yellow lights from windows, contrasting with the cool blues and indigos of the night. The reflections of these lights are visible in the choppy water of a body of water in the foreground, where two figures are walking.
