Художник этой картины не Саврасов!
“Бурлаки на Волге” есть у Верещагина, Саврасова, Репина и Васильева. Это картина Саврасова, атрибуция верна.

The subtext of the painting is a powerful depiction of human toil, exploitation, and the harsh social conditions of the time. The hauling of barges by human labor was a common practice in Russia, particularly on the Volga River, and this painting serves as a stark social commentary on the brutal reality faced by these workers. The individual expressions of weariness, resignation, and even defiance in the faces of the haulers speak volumes about their suffering, while the contrast between their labor and the apparent tranquility of the distant landscape highlights their isolation and lack of agency. The painting is a testament to the artists empathy for the working class and a critique of the social injustices prevalent in Tsarist Russia.
