On the left side, a rectangular structure appears to function as a table or shelf. Upon this surface, several still-life elements are arranged: a vase, an orange sphere, and what seems to be a partially obscured piece of fruit. These objects are rendered in simplified shapes, their contours softened by subtle gradations of tone. The presence of these commonplace items suggests a domestic setting, yet the fractured perspective prevents any sense of familiarity or comfort.
To the right, a circular form is integrated into the composition. Within this circle, a complex network of lines and planes creates an illusion of depth and movement. A small, dark square is embedded within the circle’s interior, adding to the overall feeling of enclosure and confinement.
The artist employed a technique that breaks down recognizable forms into their constituent parts, reassembling them in a non-representational manner. This approach disrupts conventional notions of space and perception. The overlapping planes suggest layers of reality or memory, hinting at a subjective experience rather than an objective depiction.
Subtly, the work conveys a sense of melancholy and introspection. The limited color range reinforces this mood, while the fragmented forms evoke feelings of disorientation and loss. It is possible to interpret the composition as a reflection on the instability of perception and the elusiveness of memory. The arrangement of objects, though seemingly mundane, becomes imbued with symbolic weight within the context of the fractured space.
