On the left, a naked man is bound to a pillar or structure. A snake coils around his neck, and an arrow pierces his torso. His expression suggests pain and despair. Below him, a rustic jug sits on a ledge, adding a touch of earthy realism to the otherwise nightmarish scene.
To the right, a large, spiked wheel dominates the composition. Inside the wheel, a thin, emaciated figure is trapped in a cage-like structure. He is pushing against the bars, as if trying to escape or perhaps forcing the wheel to turn. The wheel itself is a dark, metallic orb studded with sharp points, suggesting a cruel and relentless mechanism of torture. Through a small, barred opening in the blue background behind the wheel, another figures face is visible, gazing out with a grim and resigned expression.
The overall impression is one of extreme suffering, entrapment, and the consequences of sin. The imagery evokes themes of eternal damnation, retribution, and the power of evil forces.
