An ideal illustration for A. Greens Running on the Waves.
Sorry, over the waves :)
Heres the translation:
I think the piercing should be removed or made less prominent and more subtly placed. It shouldnt be so obviously part of the composition in many paintings; it feels like a mistake.
Photoshop is legal in America but its quite expensive, and knowing how to use the program isnt a bad thing either. But without a camera, this guy cant draw so well.
Regarding the pier, yes, and it would be wonderful otherwise.
A wonderful work that lifts the mood, giving a feeling of lightness, joy, and hope...
You cannot comment Why?
Behind the dancer stretches a wooden pier extending into the ocean. Its repetitive structure creates a visual rhythm that contrasts with the organic fluidity of the figure’s pose. The sky is overcast, diffusing the light and creating a soft, muted atmosphere. The waters surface reflects this diffused light, appearing as a series of undulating planes rather than distinct waves.
The painting evokes themes of freedom, expression, and perhaps even liberation. The dancer’s isolated position on the beach suggests a moment of personal triumph or release from constraint. Her upward movement could be interpreted as an aspiration towards something beyond her immediate surroundings. The pier, while providing a sense of place, also acts as a symbolic barrier between the figure and the open expanse of the ocean, hinting at limitations that are being overcome.
The artist’s technical skill is evident in the realistic depiction of light and texture, particularly in the rendering of the sand, water, and fabric. The overall effect is one of quiet contemplation, inviting the viewer to consider the individuals relationship with their environment and the power of self-expression.
