Great! It reminds me of the cartoon The Humpbacked Horse!
Where is this painting located today? And where did the image come from if a museum or collection is not specified?
Regarding Marin, we havent collected much information yet, its too early. For now, we can only include whats available in public sources online. As soon as the rights expire and the information becomes publicly accessible, well create a proper album. Hes a wonderful artist, but unfortunately, he hasnt gained much recognition yet, largely due to this reason.

The painting Guardsmen in Novgorod depicts a winter scene in the city of Novgorod, Russia. In the foreground, a man in ornate, colorful clothing, likely a nobleman or a high-ranking official, is mounted on a black horse. He holds a whip or a rod in his raised right hand, suggesting authority or a command. His horse is adorned with a richly decorated saddle cloth in red and gold.
Behind him, another horseman, dressed in a simpler red coat and hat, also rides away from the viewer. His horse is also pulling a prominent, trailing fabric, perhaps part of a ceremonial garment or a banner, which is draped on the snowy ground.
The background reveals a wintry cityscape with snow-covered roofs and buildings, including a prominent church with a green dome. People in traditional Russian attire can be seen in the middle ground, some near buildings and others on horseback, contributing to the bustling atmosphere of the scene. The overall impression is one of movement and activity in a cold, historical Russian setting.
The subtexts of the painting can be interpreted in several ways:
