Amazing portrayal of facial expressions and emotions.
прекрасно
November 22, 2010. Vera. I am positively amazed by the vibrant and saturated colors; the incredibly accurate depiction of small details is remarkable (and theres no need to comment on the larger elements). The impression from the reproduction is one of delight and admiration! It feels as if you can hear the hunters speaking, as if you are a guest in their company. And I have looked at this reproduction many thousands of times. Thank you for the good mood. Is it possible to download the reproduction for free? Only the resolution is available on the website.
Эта картина – чепуха и настящий плевок в душу исскуства.
To truly understand, you need to travel beyond the cities and forget that Russia is just Moscow; it begins in Anadyr and ends in Kaliningrad. Its as immortal as this work of art.
A wonderful painting! I really liked it!
Each painting is good in its own way, but I saw this particular painting in my daughters social studies textbook, and its a remarkable piece.
Класная картина. Охотники правда некрасивые....
I really like this painting.
Especially the surprised expression on the listeners face sitting to the right.
I even wrote a dialogue based on this painting, and I think it turned out quite well.
Very beautiful!
Please write a dialogue and a monologue for this picture.
I think that after a successful hunt, the hunters decided to relax and discuss the completed hunt. Perov depicts an accurate image of the details. The small details are drawn very precisely. All the guns, cartridges, game, and cases of various modifications are shown with great attention. They talk happily about their emotions during the hunt and imagine how they will be greeted at home. Hunters can remember interesting and curious stories for a long time, and its likely that their conversation lasted until late in the evening. It is a very vivid and truly lively painting that perfectly conveys the mood of the characters. I have a wonderful impression. A beautiful painting. Excitement and admiration. The emotions were conveyed well. I liked it!
class!
I want to download!
A reproduction of this painting has been in our living room throughout my entire conscious life. My father was a hunter, and a friend who was an artist made this reproduction for him. I really love this picture.

In reality, Perov wasnt depicting this joy or the pleasure of catching prey. Perov was a serious man, and in this painting, everything is meticulously planned. Perov had a sarcastic, even offensive humor. These people have dreams, but they will do nothing to realize them. Look at the greedy look in the eyes of these hunters. How nonchalantly they lie down. The bird symbolizes innocence and divinity. What can be said about the killed bird? The dog has turned its back on its owner because its tired of all the lies from its own master.
Я тоже
Hunters on a Halt is arguably the most famous hunting painting in Russian art. Since its creation in 1871, it has garnered countless admiring reviews. However, this work has also faced criticism. Lets examine it more closely. The still life is particularly well done, and the landscape is beautifully painted. It contains elements reminiscent of Turgenevs descriptions. In the foreground are three resting hunters: an old landowner who is a skilled storyteller, enthusiastically recounting tall tales. A young nobleman, with a look of wonder on his face, innocently accepts the story as truth. An older companion smiles skeptically. The insightful viewer may assume that the figures in the meadow were invited models, dressed in pseudo-hunting attire. However, Perov used real people from his life for his paintings. In Hunters on a Halt, he depicted his friends: writer V. V. Bessonov, doctor D. P. Kuvshinnikov, and member of the Moscow City Council N. M. Nagornov.
Regarding the claim by some critics that Perovs painting lacks hunting passion, scenes of post-hunt behavior from works such as A. O. Orlovskys Resting Hunters in a Hornbeam Forest, N. D. Dmitriev-Orenburgskys I. S. Turgenev Hunting Near Paris, A. S. Stepanovs The Hunt, or N. E. Sverchkovs Hunters Halt come to mind. There is no trace of hunting passion in any of these works. Indeed, where would it come from if the hunt is over? Along with its conclusion, the passions that had been raging subsided. In Perovs painting Hunters on a Halt, the storyteller recounts not just any story, but one taken from hunting life to his companions. His listeners are far from indifferent. Of course, this is no longer passion, but neither is it the detachment of tired people.
You cannot comment Why?
The foreground is strewn with hunting gear: shotguns, a duck, and partridges. A faithful hunting dog, its coat the color of dried grass, sniffs the ground nearby. In the background, a vast, misty landscape unfolds, hinting at the extent of their hunting grounds.
The painting is rich with subtexts. Perov masterfully captures the camaraderie and shared joy of the hunting experience. The distinct personalities of the hunters are vividly portrayed through their expressions and postures: the boisterous storyteller, the contemplative listener, and the enthusiastic adventurer. The natural beauty of the autumnal landscape, bathed in warm sunlight, evokes a sense of peace and tranquility, a stark contrast to the ruggedness of the hunt. The painting can be interpreted as a celebration of rural life, emphasizing the simple pleasures and bonds of fellowship found in nature.
