The forest surrounds us, but in the foreground, there is a bridge, and bells ring in our hearts.

It seems like Im about to take a step and truly walk across the bridge... I appreciate Levitan because he brings nature closer, rather than simply depicting it. When you look at his paintings, you breathe in its space... the vastness of Russian nature. :)
