Description of the painting "Before Noon" by Konstantin Kryzhitsky
Konstantin Yakovlevich Kryzhitsky is a Russian landscape painter. Although the artist traveled extensively throughout Europe, he drew his main inspiration from the domestic expanse. In his works the artist used not only oil, but also watercolor and pencils. Kryzhitsky organized many exhibitions, at which the viewer could become acquainted with the work of Kryzhitsky.
The painting Before Noon was painted in 1885 and is one of the most popular works of the artist. He developed his own style of painting, using the play of colors and shadows. Contemporaries admired Kryzhitsky’s talent, claiming that they literally "dissolve" in the atmosphere of nature, which the creator represented in his paintings. The artist managed to present the surrounding world in its naturalness, without focusing on any one thing. In other words, all the master’s works are distinguished by their integrity and harmony.
This picture depicts a small water body covered with vegetation, with a small boat on the shore and a man strolling along in the distance. The main idea of this work is the play of light. The sky and clouds are depicted in such a way that on the whole the picture really resembles a time before noon, when the sun is not yet high up, and a light morning silence and tranquility prevail around. The artist also drew the viewer’s attention to the bird by the shore of the reservoir, thus emphasizing the peaceful coexistence of man and nature.
The work is dominated by predominantly gentle tones of blue and green shades. Realistically traced sky is reflected in the water, which the viewer literally feels when looking at the canvas. The beauty of untouched nature in the early morning is the main idea that the master wanted to share when painting Before Noon.

The picture has something of this: water, river, nature, landscape, tree, lake, sky, outdoors, summer, reflection, boat, watercraft, beach, vehicle, wood, rural, riverbank, sea.
Perhaps it’s a painting of a river with a boat in the foreground and a grassy area to the side of the river with trees and grass in the background.
