Its clearly not a Levitan painting, but rather a forgery in his style. The bushes on the right seem to be copied from Lake. Rus. This cannot be called painting; its done roughly, without any lively or expressive brushstrokes. The sky is painted, not rendered. The signature isns also his. In short, its just a daub of paint; remove it and dont disgrace Levitan with it.

On the left bank, nestled on a gentle slope, is a cluster of buildings, including a prominent church with a white bell tower and a smaller pink or red building. The landscape is dotted with trees, some with full foliage and others beginning to show autumnal hues. The sky above is a bright blue, scattered with fluffy white clouds.
Dominating the middle of the lake are two sailboats, their masts reaching towards the sky. Their reflections are clearly visible in the water below, creating a sense of depth and mirroring the overall composition. A smaller, darker rowboat is pulled closer to the left bank.
The subtext of the painting likely revolves around themes of nature, spirituality, and perhaps the passage of time. The presence of the church suggests a connection to community and faith, set against the enduring backdrop of the natural world. The sailboats could represent journeys, aspirations, or the movement of life. The tranquil atmosphere and the gentle play of light and reflection evoke a sense of peace, contemplation, and the quiet beauty of the season. The painting captures a moment of stillness and natural harmony, possibly reflecting a nostalgic or idealized view of rural life.
