MUSTARD SEED
Mustard seed grains,
Will there be more or less?
A table, vodka, and canapés with caviar,
You get drunker, reality blurs, like a dream.
Mustard seed, at least
To gain some faith... But no!
Again, poems, again, syllables
Invade the surrounding light.
Mustard seed, a bit bigger
Than this letter, lets say, I?
The ability to live life without pretense,
As a gift. And what about my life?
... Did the apostles not know
At least about a mustard seed?
Or did they find faith after death,
A plant of belief? And it has
Metaphysical properties
And light that is unknown to us.
Drink, dont worry about anything,
Trust your heart and dont trust clocks.
Dont drink! Sobriety is more important.
Here is autumn. The yellowing leaves,
The color of mustard. Dreams are clearer
Than life – the one and only life.

The figure on the left appears to be female, clad in a pink gown adorned with elaborate gold detailing, particularly prominent around the shoulders and sleeves. Her hair is partially concealed by a veil, but strands of reddish-brown hair are visible. She gestures downwards with her right hand, while her left arm is bent at the elbow, held close to her body. The posture conveys a sense of reverence or perhaps offering.
The figure on the right also appears female, dressed in a blue robe over a pink undergarment. Her hands are clasped gently in front of her, and she gazes towards the figure on the left with an expression that seems to combine surprise and acceptance. A book rests upon what appears to be a small table or ledge beside her.
The architectural setting is rendered with a deliberate flatness, emphasizing linearity over depth. The column’s stark verticality draws attention to the separation between the two figures while simultaneously acting as a grounding element within the composition. The gold leaf applied to the background and decorative elements creates an aura of sanctity and otherworldliness.
Subtleties in the rendering suggest a narrative moment steeped in significance. The gesture of the figure on the left implies communication or bestowal, while the posture of the figure on the right indicates receptiveness and contemplation. The presence of the book hints at knowledge and divine revelation. The overall effect is one of quiet solemnity, inviting reflection upon themes of faith, acceptance, and the sacred encounter.
