Blessed is the man who does not sit in the council of the wicked,
Nor torment his soul with the dreams of the powerful and those greedy for silver.
His thoughts are only of the Lord,
Of the law of the Lord.
The triumph of the unrighteous is short-lived –
And it will appear unlawful.

David fled, he fled from his son,
But the Lords shield protected him.
He sang on stringed instruments, and discovered depths
That a real singer, a poet, knew.
What burden for a psalmist?
Nothing will be difficult.
And his day is always good,
If the light of greatness shines brightly.

In God is solace,
In God are all solutions
To troubles – rather, there are none,
For the Divine Light is glorious.
Praise, praise on stringed instruments!
Let there be no madmen among you,
Who seek cities
Instead of the Word of God.
Yes.
Hallelujah! Glory to You!
For Yours is the kingdom,
All ages are Yours –
A source of love.
4
In glorifying God,
Man will find
Purity for the end
Of a life full of cares.
Glorifying God is
The art of being.
And it is the straight path
To freedom from self.

Flanking the central panel are two additional scenes set within architectural spaces that resemble courtyards or gardens. In each of these side panels, angelic figures descend from above, their presence suggesting divine intervention and solace amidst human suffering. The landscape backgrounds in both side panels feature meticulously rendered trees and buildings, creating a sense of depth and spatial recession. These landscapes are not merely decorative; they contribute to the overall atmosphere of serenity and hope that counterbalances the palpable grief depicted in the central scene.
The color scheme is characterized by rich, saturated hues – deep blues, vibrant reds, and earthy greens – that enhance the emotional intensity of the narrative. The use of gold leaf, particularly evident on the architectural details and angelic garments, adds a layer of opulence and spiritual significance to the work.
Subtleties within the painting suggest deeper layers of meaning. The varied expressions of the figures convey a range of human emotions in response to loss, moving beyond simple mourning to encompass compassion, faith, and acceptance. The architectural setting, with its classical elements, evokes a sense of order and stability amidst chaos, hinting at the enduring power of faith and tradition. The inclusion of foliage – particularly the prominent palm tree on the right – may carry symbolic weight, representing victory or resurrection in a Christian context.
The overall effect is one of profound emotional depth combined with meticulous artistic craftsmanship. The artist has created not just a depiction of an event but also a meditation on grief, faith, and the enduring power of human connection.
