The artist is appealing. What specifically makes them so? The key is that when you see their painting, your interest increases. You want to examine it, understand its history, rather than simply walk away.
Heres a link about the artist in the original language:

What resonates with me here is the complete and natural imitation of reality in their art. I really miss beautiful, classical painting. Why is modern painting so different?
Dmitrys most successful work is considered to be this one:

I also wanted to add that its a very interesting and extensive archive. It turns out that the artists beliefs or their location on Earth are completely irrelevant to appreciating their work.
You cannot comment Why?
The room itself appears sparsely furnished but functional. A substantial stone hearth occupies the left side of the frame, above which hangs what seems to be animal fur, hinting at hunting or survival skills. The exposed beams of the roof are visible, contributing to the sense of a simple, perhaps isolated existence. A framed portrait hangs on the wall behind the seated men, its subject obscured but suggesting familial ties or remembrance.
The lighting is subdued and warm, emanating primarily from the hearth and casting long shadows across the room. This creates an atmosphere of intimacy and quiet reflection. The color palette is earthy – browns, grays, and muted greens – reinforcing the sense of a life lived close to nature.
Subtly, the painting explores themes of aging, memory, and the passage of time. The veterans’ presence implies a shared history, perhaps one marked by hardship or conflict. Their stillness and quietude suggest a period of reflection on past events. The inclusion of the child and animals introduces a counterpoint – a sense of continuity and hope for the future.
The domestic setting, while humble, conveys a feeling of stability and resilience. It suggests that even in later years, amidst the weight of experience, there is comfort to be found in simple pleasures and familial bonds. The overall impression is one of dignity, quiet strength, and an enduring connection to a past that has shaped their present.
