ухх, а сечас это центр Рима
Вообще-то это район Палатино и там сейчас также руины
Если не ошибаюсь, Колизей начали разбирать как раз со стороны Палатино, значит это вид с горы над станцией метро или за форумом, там сейчас дома.

The arrangement of the figures suggests a sense of everyday life unfolding amidst monumental decay. The ruins themselves – a partial archway and what appears to be remnants of a larger structure – loom overhead, dwarfing the human activity below. Their weathered state contrasts sharply with the vitality of the people present, creating a visual dialogue between past grandeur and contemporary existence.
The artist has employed a muted color palette, primarily utilizing earth tones and grays, which reinforces the somber atmosphere and emphasizes the aged quality of the ruins. The sky is overcast, contributing to the overall feeling of melancholy and transience. Light filters through the archway, illuminating portions of the scene and drawing attention to specific figures, notably those clustered around a makeshift stall or shelter.
Subtly, the painting explores themes of time, memory, and the cyclical nature of civilizations. The juxtaposition of the vibrant human presence with the decaying remnants of a once-powerful empire hints at the inevitable decline of even the most formidable structures. It is not merely a depiction of a place but also an implicit commentary on the relationship between humanity and history – a reminder that life continues to flourish even amidst the vestiges of past glories. The scene evokes a sense of quiet contemplation, inviting viewers to consider the passage of time and the enduring spirit of human resilience.
