There is a mysticism in Russia... How understandable is it? But, we emerge into the light through pain; otherwise, the steps do not lead there. Icons exist – like honeycombs: spiritual properties are given to them. And there is soaring, flight, and a thirst to live – so that heroism leaves behind a bright trail… Into what vessel will you pour golden peace when you understand our land? When you understand its code – its mystical sounds. And the sprouting through suffering... To where...? Not yet realized...

This painting depicts a procession moving across a grassy field towards the viewer, with a river and a distant town on the left. The procession is led by individuals in traditional Russian attire, some carrying religious icons, and is accompanied by clergy in vestments and laypeople.
In the foreground, a young boy in simple peasant clothing walks in the opposite direction of the procession, away from the viewer and towards the river. He carries a bundle on his shoulder and a small bouquet of flowers in his hand.
The subtexts of the painting can be interpreted in several ways:
The overall mood is contemplative and somewhat somber, with the muted colors and the overcast sky contributing to a sense of introspection. The vast landscape emphasizes the grandeur and scale of Russia, while the figures represent different aspects of its society and its journey.
