The artist employed a deliberate layering technique, creating a sense of depth and visual density. Smaller images are embedded within larger ones, blurring the boundaries between subject matter and background. This approach generates an impression of interconnectedness – the animals’ lives inextricably linked to their habitats. The color palette is predominantly cool, with blues, greens, and whites dominating, evoking a feeling of tranquility and wilderness. However, flashes of warmer tones – oranges and yellows in the sky or reflected on water surfaces – introduce moments of vibrancy and dynamism.
A recurring motif involves close-up depictions of animal eyes – particularly those of wolves and eagles – which draw the viewer’s attention and establish an immediate connection with the portrayed creatures. These intense gazes suggest intelligence, awareness, and perhaps a hint of vulnerability. The inclusion of human elements – a partial face visible in one section – introduces a subtle layer of complexity. It implies a relationship between humanity and nature, though the exact nature of this relationship remains ambiguous.
The fragmented structure could be interpreted as a commentary on the fragility of ecosystems or the impact of human intervention on wildlife populations. The mosaic form itself suggests that these elements are not always whole or intact but rather exist in a state of constant flux and potential fragmentation. Ultimately, the work conveys a sense of reverence for the natural world while simultaneously hinting at its precariousness.
