Its hard to look away; such a beautiful picture. Its inspiring.
dashulichka, you have to be very foolish to write something like that. If its criticism, it should be constructive, not at a kindergarten level.

In school, I really enjoyed describing paintings in my essays, especially portraits. At first, it seems like you dont have enough words, but then you start noticing the details, understanding the expressions and moods. This painting is very good, bright... The girl looks so kind, she probably has a cheerful disposition (her lips are turned upwards). Ah... Its a painting you can look at for a long time.
Awesome! :*)

Some comments are very silly! How can you properly evaluate a painting?!
Alexey Gavrilovich Veneziaonov was a master of portrait painting. However, in 1819, he refused to continue taking commissioned portraits and moved to live in the countryside. There, he painted pictures depicting peasant life and the everyday lives of the Russian people.
In his paintings, the peasant women resemble fairytale beauties. They live in harmony with the surrounding world. It is the beauty of the nature around him and the people working on the land that A. G. Veneziaonov depicts. The painting Girl in a Headscarf differs slightly from his other works.
The painting depicts a young girl wearing a blue checkered headscarf. She has bright, lively eyes that are striking for their depth and mystery. Her gaze is open, as if she has not yet experienced sorrow or grief. Her childishly plump lips give the face of the young peasant woman a sense of naivety and tenderness. It seems as if she wants to smile, but her natural modesty holds back her impulse. The entire face of the girl glows with purity and spirituality. Her hair is neatly combed, parted down the middle. One can assume that two thick braids lie on her back, decorated with ribbons.
The young beauty is modest. Her hand holds the headscarf in place to prevent it from slipping off her head. She looks at the artist, but if the master looks closely at his model, her eyes shyly cover their fluffy eyelashes. She lowers her gaze, only to immediately look at the person drawing her with her clear gaze.
When painting the portrait of the girl in a headscarf, A. G. Veneziaonov believed that such a face was made for happiness, and that the troubles and sorrows of peasant life would not touch this girl. The viewer also wants to believe this when gazing at the young features and admiring their virgin purity.
Красота!
Beautiful portrait!
Not everyone can describe paintings in that way. Words are not enough.
Valeria... its immediately clear that you took these descriptions from somewhere else.
Venetsianovs painting Girl in a Checked Scarf continues the series of works by the author, which depict various faces of peasant women. He tirelessly studies their vibrant appearance, strives to understand their complex character, and admires their interesting features. Before us is a portrait of a little girl. A gentle smile seems to tremble on her plump lips. Her deep eyes hold so much warmth and trust in the world, as only exists in early youth. Everything is harmonious in her facial features; everything is filled with charm and pleasant freshness. The tenderness of the young face is conveyed by the artist with paternal warmth. In the painting, brown and yellow tones predominate. The blue of the peasant girls bright eyes is accentuated by the checkered scarf, which harmonizes with the overall background of the painting, the snowy lips, and the rosy cheeks of the girl.
She is a beautiful woman.
How old are you, Borja?

Then it makes sense.
The essay on A. G. Venetsianovs painting Girl in a Plaid Scarf is as follows:
The painting Girl in a Plaid Scarf is the work of the artist A. G. Venetsianov. This artist, who did not receive formal artistic training, became a master of portraiture and was awarded the title of academician at the Russian Academy of Arts. Many of his portraits were created on commission, including those for the purpose of obtaining the rank of academician. However, there came a time when he left his service, city life in St. Petersburg, and moved to live in the village of Safonkovo. Venetsianov himself divided his life into periods spent in the city and in the countryside, signing his works and papers with the pseudonym Safonsky.
Living in the countryside, he devoted himself wholeheartedly to his beloved craft. He painted what he wanted and who he wanted. His models were simple peasants and their children. By depicting scenes of uncomplicated rural life involving serf peasants, Venetsianov realized his principle: to depict nothing otherwise than as it is in nature. The artist managed to show the harmony of everyday peasant life, nature, and humans, revealing the beauty of the Russian soul. The connection between the artist and the people he depicted can be felt in every carefully drawn line of the face, the truthfulness of the expression in the eyes, and the clearly expressed physical and spiritual strength. Venetsianov was able to convey the beauty of simple faces, which differed from the canonical images portrayed by portrait artists of that time. It was considered bad taste to depict representatives of the lower classes at that time, but Venetsianov, disregarding conventions, chose faces of ordinary people who appealed to him as models. When depicting peasants, the artist skillfully selected colors and used the interplay of light and shadow.
He could not help but show the visible fatigue from hard labor in these people, the expression of submission to fate on their faces. There were no smiling or even slightly smiling faces. Therefore, among the works by A. Venetsianov, Girl in a Plaid Scarf stands out especially.
There is no information about who posed for the artist, and even the exact date when the portrait was painted is unknown. The model had to simply put on a blue-green plaid scarf over her head and hold it with one hand under her chin. A very young girl, more of a teenager, looks at the artist with obedient intensity. Her face is sweet, pure, almost childlike. She has a high forehead, beautifully shaped eyebrows, gray-blue, wide-set eyes, a straight nose, and childishly full, crimson lips. The triangular oval of her face, with its very soft and pleasant chin, gives nobility to the girls face. Her dark chestnut hair is peasant-style, neatly combed back in a straight part and tucked under the scarf. It seems that her hair is braided into a thick braid.
The hand holding the scarf on her chest reveals a simple village girl. Her hands are peasant-like, wide, quite large, with strong fingers, nervously pressing the scarf against her chest.
The scarf worn by the girl is new; similar plaid scarves were worn by peasant women of that time. It is likely that the artist bought this scarf specifically for the girl and then gave it to her. The scarf is not made of rough fabric because the highlights on it are clearly visible, as if it were made of silk or satin. The main color of the scarf changes with the lighting, from blue to green, and even the color of the pattern of the plaid changes from white-yellow to yellow-red. All the folds of the scarf and even the fringe are carefully drawn by the author.
The girl is wearing a simple shirt made of bleached linen. She is probably wearing a Russian sarafan (vest), but the artist did not depict the details of her clothing, nor did he emphasize the external setting. The most important thing was to accurately portray the girls face and show her external beauty, as well as her pure inner world. It seems that the girl, looking at the artist, wants to smile, but hesitates, holding back. A smile hides in the corners of her lips. Her natural simplicity, modesty, and innocence are visible in everything about her appearance. At the same time, there is a mystery in her light, living eyes, as there is in the eyes of any woman.
And everyone can see their own reflection in them, guess what this charming creature is thinking about, what she dreams of. It is believed that lifes hardships have not yet touched her, that her childhood and adolescence are not overshadowed by the difficulties and sorrows of peasant life. One wants her and her life to remain bright, free from any troubles.
Thanks to the works of the artist Venetsianov, we can see what simple peasants looked like in the early 19th century, how their everyday lives were organized, as noted and accurately captured by the remarkable master in his paintings. The historical significance of these paintings is immense, as they are a true source of information about that period. Although there is a resemblance to icons in Venetsianovs paintings due to some flatness in the image, they captivate with their truthfulness and sincerity of the authors gaze. The magnificent portraitist Venetsianov carefully selected models for his paintings, which is why we can still see and admire such works as Girl in a Plaid Scarf. Looking at this portrait, one gets the feeling that we are seeing a young Madonna from the canvases of medieval artists.
Marina Ivanovna, isnt that a bit too much?

Here is true beauty, not modern and artificially enhanced; nothing superfluous – genius!
You cannot comment Why?
The headscarf is a central element, composed of broad stripes in navy blue, white, yellow, and red, with fringed edges. It drapes around her head and shoulders, creating a sense of warmth and intimacy. Her dark hair is neatly parted and visible peeking out from under the scarf. One hand is gently clasped over the fabric at her chest, adding a gesture of modesty or perhaps a subtle sense of self-possession. The background is a textured, muted gold, which emphasizes the vividness of the girls features and the colorful scarf.
The subtext of the painting lies in its portrayal of a young woman on the cusp of maturity. The direct gaze and the careful framing by the scarf can be interpreted as symbols of her burgeoning identity and awareness. The vibrant colors of the scarf, while decorative, might also allude to the richness of her inner world or the vitality of youth. The painting captures a moment of quiet contemplation, inviting the viewer to ponder the thoughts and feelings of this young individual. It is a study in youthful beauty, rendered with a classic, gentle realism.
