I think the painting is a bit confusing. Im not sure where the water is coming from in the lower left corner. I myself paint pictures and I understand them quite well, even though Im 48 years old!
картины пишете, а грамотно писать не научились в 48!!! лет
а зачем голой то и негер этот мне кажется не к чему
это какая та ванная. А негр здесь затем ну может быть он прислуга.
Virsa was swimming. The dark-skinned girl was there to provide contrast. Black and white.
Oh my God! How can you, with your ignorant minds, dare to touch something so GREAT?
Комментарии супер. Роман с еленой семёновной жгут...
ни негр, а негритянка
А Брюллову ничто мужское не чуждо
A beautiful painting by Bryullov! Perfect beauty.
The pool is being filled. Virsavia will swim in it. A beautiful black maidservant will attend to her.
Im frustrated, dear editors... Very few people here understand history, let alone art, but they are quick to express their opinions, and often with a lot of mistakes... (((
I liked Brullovs painting. As for this mess/situation..., its pointless to say anything.
Please note the stones used to construct the baptismal font; they were clearly manufactured industrially and are not held together with mortar.
You cannot comment Why?
Beside her, in the lower right of the frame, a dark-skinned male figure kneels. He is partially obscured and appears to be attending to her or perhaps looking up at her. The scene is set near a fountain from which water is flowing, adding a sensual and tranquil element to the composition. Piled on the ledge behind Bathsheba are ornate garments and jewelry, suggesting preparation for an important event or an act of adornment.
The subtext of the painting draws from the biblical story of Bathsheba, wife of Uriah the Hittite, and her affair with King David. The narrative highlights themes of beauty, temptation, power, and the consequences of desire. Bathshebas radiant beauty is evident, and the presence of the attendant, along with her elaborate adornment, hints at her status and the circumstances that led to King Davids infatuation and subsequent actions. The painting can be interpreted as a moment of vulnerability and allure, capturing the essence of a figure whose story is deeply intertwined with lust, betrayal, and divine judgment. The contrast between Bathshebas pale skin and the attendants dark skin might also allude to themes of exoticism or the hierarchical societal structures of the time.
