A true princess. Her posture, her gaze, and even her not-so-modest attire all suggest it. At the same time, her Russian heritage is clearly visible, although she is now a Yusupova.
She is not currently a Yusupova, but rather a Yusupova by birth. The portrait is indeed good, although its quite staged. The princess seems to be deliberately drawing attention to her famous pearl. Let us take a look. And we can say that the jewel is worthy of its owner.
Изумительная красавица...

The woman’s attire contributes significantly to the overall impression of status and refinement. She wears an elaborate gown in a delicate pink hue, accented by voluminous sleeves adorned with intricate lace detailing. A fur stole encircles her neck, adding a touch of luxury and warmth. The gloves she holds suggest leisure and a cultivated demeanor.
The background is dominated by heavy drapery in deep red tones, which creates a sense of grandeur and enclosure. Light filters through the fabric, creating subtle gradations of color and texture that add depth to the scene. A glimpse of an architectural element – possibly a balcony or colonnade – is visible beyond the curtains, hinting at a larger, more expansive environment.
The composition is carefully balanced, with the woman’s figure occupying most of the frame. The chair she sits upon appears ornate and substantial, further reinforcing her position of importance. The artists use of light and shadow enhances the three-dimensionality of the subject, highlighting the textures of her clothing and skin.
Subtly, there is a sense of controlled formality in the portrait. While the woman’s expression isn’t overtly joyful, it lacks any trace of discomfort or displeasure. The overall effect suggests an individual accustomed to privilege and possessing a quiet dignity. The meticulous rendering and luxurious details speak to a desire to immortalize her image as one of elegance and social standing.
