a good painting
The sky is reflected in the still, black water.
Slowly, autumn carries out its work.
Leaves do not leave a trace in the air;
I wish my soul could be as light as they are.
Walking through the park, marked by age,
Time is sprinkled with the ashes of forgotten dreams.
You think about the future – and a tremor arises in your heart,
For no reason at all.
The park is so wonderful – willows, oaks.
Birches weep, their branches bending towards the pond.
What can you change about your destiny, no matter how hard you try?
So it is. But everything in it is akin to a miracle.
You cannot comment Why?
Along the far shore, a cluster of birch trees stands out with their distinctive white bark contrasting against the autumnal hues of surrounding foliage. These trees are depicted in varying stages of color change – some retain patches of green, while others display vibrant oranges and yellows, indicative of the season. A single, taller tree rises above the rest, its crown catching the light of a pale sky. To the right, a darker evergreen punctuates the scene, adding depth and visual interest to the arrangement.
The sky itself is rendered with broad strokes of blue and white, suggesting a diffused light rather than direct sunlight. The overall color palette leans towards muted earth tones – yellows, oranges, browns, and greens – punctuated by the starkness of the birch trunks and the cool blues of the water and sky.
Beyond the immediate visual elements, the painting evokes a sense of tranquility and melancholy associated with autumn. The stillness of the water suggests introspection, while the fading colors hint at the passage of time and the inevitability of decline. There is an understated beauty in the scene; it’s not a dramatic or overtly picturesque landscape but rather a quiet observation of natures rhythms. The artist seems less concerned with precise detail than with conveying the feeling of being present within this particular moment, immersed in the atmosphere of a late autumn day. The mirroring effect also introduces a subtle duality – a visual echo that might be interpreted as representing memory or the subjective perception of reality.
