Картина с глубоким смыслом...
Смысл такой, что много картофеля вредно есть, особенно жаренного.
You cannot comment Why?
The subtexts of the painting are multifaceted and profound. Van Gogh aimed to portray the harsh reality of peasant life, emphasizing their dignity and the honest labor that sustains them. He wanted to convey that these people, despite their poverty and the hardships they face, are the true salt of the earth. The painting is a deliberate departure from idealized depictions of rural life, instead focusing on the raw, unvarnished truth. The dark, earthy palette and the thick application of paint contribute to a sense of raw authenticity and emotional weight. Van Goghs use of light is also significant; it is not a gentle, inviting glow but a stark illumination that emphasizes the grimness of their existence, yet also spotlights their shared humanity and the communal ritual of their meal. The rough, almost coarse rendering of the figures can be interpreted as an affirmation of their physical connection to the earth from which their food comes, and a rejection of bourgeois sensibilities.
