Round table on aesthetic education of youth at the Pushkin Museum

Museum of Fine Arts. A.S. Pushkin held a round table on May 23, dedicated to the issues of aesthetic education of youth. The conversation was built around the activities of creative art studios and workshops developing under his protection. You can get acquainted with the results of educational work at the exhibition of works by students of the Museyon Center for Aesthetic Education, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the museum. In addition to creative works, the exposition was composed of retro photographs - living evidence of different periods from the history of the development of the center.

During the round table, the leaders of the art studio (Maria Lukyantseva, Natalya Bocharova) told about the history of the Center, as well as the problems and achievements that arise in the process of teaching children the art of beauty. About those wonderful achievements that every child is capable of open to the world of creativity. The discussions were attended not only by teachers, famous artists and sculptors, but also by students of art studios of different years (1960-1990s).

Museyon is one of the oldest centers of aesthetic education for children and youth, located in the old city estate of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. It provides a variety of activities for children from 5 years old, adolescents, young men and their parents. Talent development takes into account the age characteristics of each participant. Children have the opportunity to comprehend the secrets of fine and dramatic art, engage in sculpture, printmaking (create prints, prints), take part in the activities of the club of young art critics, gain knowledge in archeology, numismatics, and also improve their mental state in art therapy classes.
