In Bashkortostan, the plein air of artists of the realistic school was held

The August days of the village of Burangulovo were captured on the canvases of contemporary artists seeking to preserve the achievements of the realistic school of painting. The plein air that took place here was dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the famous artist Mikhail Nesterov.

The bewitching beauty of Bashkiria became the basis for the creation of numerous sketches, sketches and paintings dedicated to the "Image of the motherland." The masters participating in the event came from all over Russia, having managed to create more than 700 works of art in a few weeks.

Now, the organizers of the event will have to solve the difficult task of creating the final exhibition by choosing the best works for demonstration in the galleries of Ufa. A feature of this village is its remoteness and the absence of even regular telephone communications. A sort of lost corner of the lush nature, created specifically for the artist’s brush! Bright, rich colors and unexpected motives allowed the artists to spend time allotted for work, very productive.

The fact that the “Image of the motherland” is different for everyone is evident even from the plots of the works. One is more interested in historical events, the other - the romance of the falling sun. Therefore, the paintings are full of not only landscapes, but also portraits of the local population, interiors. Even the Soviet tractor, a model of which is difficult to find in modern farms, has become the hero of several works. The inexorableness of time does not inspire pessimism for creative people, since they can give people and things a “second life” with the help of their works!
