The Tretyakov Gallery presents the work of artists of Venezuela

The Tretyakov Gallery provides an opportunity for the general public to get acquainted with the work of foreign artists. This time the exhibition will be dedicated to the works of two Latin American artists whose works are presented for the exhibition by the Gallery of National Art of Venezuela. Their names are known to connoisseurs of painting - Nikolai Ferdinandov and Armando Reveron.

It is noteworthy that one of these artists is an emigrant from Russia, who left his homeland in 1915. Fate brought Nikolai Ferdinandov to Venezuela, where he led an active creative life. In Venezuela, he was known by the name of El Rousseau, an artist and social activist who did a lot for the development of Venezuelan culture.

In Venezuela, the artist is well known, his works are stored in the National Museum of the country. Unfortunately, most of the works of Ferdinandov died during the war in France, where they were taken out by the heirs.

If the national art of Venezuela at the beginning of the twentieth century followed two paths, one of which was the development of national art, and the second was an introduction to the achievements of world culture, then Ferdinandov helped to unite these directions with his activity.

Communicating with the young artists of his new homeland, Ferdinandov had a huge influence on them, both with his creativity and personal qualities. One of his loyal followers and a true friend was an artist of great talent, Armando Reveron, who later devoted his life to art. Now A. Reveron is considered in Venezuela an outstanding artist, whose exhibitions are systematically organized in various countries.

In the Tretyakov Gallery, the spirit of comrades-in-arms by brush can be seen until mid-November.
