Exhibition dedicated to the anniversary of the artist Sergei Pogodaev Siberian land dedicated

The Altai State Museum of the History of Art, located in Barnaul, actively participated in the celebration of the seventy-fifth anniversary of the Altai Territory, displaying in its exhibition halls exhibitions that show the creativity of artists whose works show the beauty of the Altai Territory, who devoted their talent to perpetuating the greatness of the Siberian land on canvases.

The exhibition of the artist Sergei Pogodaev, which began its work in the museum, is dedicated not only to the anniversary of the Altai Territory, but also to its own round date. Sergei Pogodaev turns 55 years old. The artist spent most of his life in Altai. The charm of nature, characteristic of the Altai Territory, became for Pogodaev the main theme of his work. In his works, lyrical and sincere, written in the classical technique of painting, the unique beauty of Siberian villages is glorified.

The exposition of Pogodaev’s personal exhibition consists of paintings painted by the artist in various genres. Landscapes make up most of it, but expressive portraits and surprisingly beautiful still lifes do not go unnoticed. “The Earth of the Siberian Anthem” - this name can be assigned to any work of the artist, and it does not matter which painting genre it belongs to.

Sergei Pogodaev has not only an art education received at the Repin Leningrad Institute. After his graduation, the artist continued his education at the Pedagogical Institute of the city of Novosibirsk, at the faculty of graphic art. Pogodaev’s works participated in many exhibitions of the region. The artist held only twenty personal exhibitions, two of which took place in St. Petersburg. The artist’s works are stored in museums and private collections.
