Pavel Georgievich Pogodaev was born on May 8, 1924 in the city of Irkutsk, studied at the Irkutsk Aviation College. After the outbreak of World War II, he volunteered to join the Soviet Army. He was awarded many orders and medals.
After the Victory in the Great Patriotic War ended, Pavel Georgievich took an active part in the public life of Irkutsk, the Irkutsk region, in the veteran movement and patriotic education of youth. For courage and heroism shown during the years of World War II, a significant contribution to the development of the city of Irkutsk and the well-being of its population, great social and patriotic activity, he was awarded the title "Honorary Citizen of the city of Irkutsk." Today Pavel Georgievich Pogodaev remains in the ranks of the operating oldest veterans, defenders, patriots, is a model of service to the Fatherland, a striking role model for young people to whom he passes on his knowledge and life experience.
The exhibition features photographs, documents, books, newspapers, magazines, booklets, and other exhibits related to the heroic personality of the veteran.
