The exhibition in Nizhny Novgorod is dedicated to the work of the painter R. Sosnin

The exhibition complex of Nizhny Novgorod invites you to visit the personal exhibition of the Honored Artist of Russia Rudolf Sosnin. This is the fifth solo exhibition in the artist’s life and is dedicated to the anniversary of the painter, who turns 75 this year. Among the 130 paintings of the exhibition, most of them are landscapes depicting the homeland of Rudolf Sosnin. Nizhny Novgorod, where the artist was born and still lives, has become a place that constantly gives him inspiration. The exhibition will run until October 21st.

The artist’s works are well known and loved by the inhabitants of Nizhny Novgorod. On Sosnin’s canvases, historical places familiar to Nizhny Novgorod look recognizable, but filled with air transparency, bright sunlight, they look unusually festive. Even passers-by on the city streets, depicted by the artist, with their elegant clothes complement the feeling of a holiday. In addition to the places of interest of the native city, in the landscapes of Sosnin’s work you can see lovingly painted canvases with views of Gorokhovets and Pskov, the Volga expanses and the famous Seliger lake.

At the exhibition, Sosnin also presented masterfully executed still lifes, interior sketches, sketches for his works and sketches. Since the painter was engaged in design and advertising for many years, the images of interiors shown at the exhibition owe their appearance to this area of his activity. After graduating from the Moscow Polygraphic Institute, Rudolf Sosnin began working in newspaper graphics, later in industrial design. Therefore, his first works were exhibited at VDNKh exhibitions, even visited Tokyo, at the famous exhibition "EXPO-70". Sosnin began to show his painting to the public later, having received its well-deserved recognition.
