Double Anniversary in the Museum and Creative Center "Korbakov House"

VOGDA. The museum center “Korbakov’s House” invites you to visit the exhibition of the national artist Vladimir Korbakov, dedicated to two anniversaries at once. The exhibition “Picturesque Cocktail” is opened in honor of the 90th anniversary of the master of painting, and also serves as a sign for another important date - ten years have passed since the creation of the museum and creative center “House of Korbakov”.

The Vologda painter arranges an exhibition of his works annually, making a creative report to connoisseurs of painting, showing new works. This year the exposition is arranged in a different way. Since many different exhibitions of Vladimir Korbakov’s works and meetings with admirers of creativity were held throughout the jubilee year, the artist could not devote time to working in the open air. So there are no works written this year at the exhibition.

However, of the fifty works that made up the exhibition, there will be those that the general public will see for the first time. In the 80s, Vladimir Korbakov went on a creative trip to Hungary, from where he brought a large number of landscapes painted in this country. Several of these works found their place in the exhibition. The following years were also marked by works performed on foreign trips, so visitors to the exhibition will be able to admire the landscapes painted on the island of Crete, Japan and Monte Carlo.

Surely attract the attention of viewers and portraits made by the master. Among them are historical figures such as Grigory Rasputin, and our contemporaries are represented by a portrait of the poet Nikolai Rubtsov, transporting visitors to the exhibition in those years when the poet served in the navy. A separate section of the exhibition presents abstract sketches and still lifes.

The exhibition will run until January 12th.
