Chinese painting performed by Nikolai Mishukov in the Solntsevo Hall

MOSCOW. The exhibition hall "Solntsevo" until April 21 is waiting for everyone to get acquainted with the exhibition of paintings "Until the ink is dry", which presents the work of the artist Nikolai Mishukov, whose work is made in the technique of Chinese painting.

The exhibition also includes the work of his students. The name of the exhibition was not chosen by chance. So symbolically it is said that the picture was drawn so quickly that the ink had not yet had time to dry on paper, and the work was already completed. This makes it possible to fully express the mood of the artist at the time when he was painting. After all, if the artist continues to work on it later, then his mood will be different, and this will immediately be visible in the figure.

Nikolai Mishukov in his works uses not only the techniques of Chinese painting, but materials of Chinese origin - ink, rice paper, mineral paints, which are close in their properties to the usual watercolors. Even the brushes with which the artist does his work are also from China.

Among the works presented in the exposition of the opened exhibition are copies of the works of famous Chinese and Japanese painters made by artists. It is interesting that in China there are traditions according to which such copies are not considered plagiarism. After all, making a copy of the picture, the artist still gives birth to a work that differs from the original work. In addition, a drawing made on rice paper cannot be completely copied - it has such properties.

It is not easy to work on rice paper, the painting performed on it is impossible to fix, which means that the artist is required to be extremely attentive and accurate. All the principles of work in Chinese technology make the work of Nikolai Mishukov and his followers truly unique.
