Graphics by artist Viktor Semykin at the Palette of Life exhibition in Elabuga

ELABUGA. On May 8, the exhibition "Palette of Life" opened in the exhibition hall of the Yelabuga Museum-Reserve. This name was invented by the remarkable artist Viktor Semykin to show his works, whose watercolor and pastel works, performed in various genres, are presented in the exposition of his personal exhibition.

Each of his works is really a snatched piece of life. And it doesn’t matter at all what is located on the exhibition stand - a woman’s portrait or cityscape, the works written by Viktor Semykin make you stop and look carefully at the picture for a long time.

His works are so realistic that it seems as if the viewer was looking at the image of a smiling woman, her smile was intended, and the city landscape, on which the rain had just ended, retains the smell of freshness.

Victor Romanovich Semykin was born in the Bryansk region, in the small town of Bezhitsa. He received professional education in St. Petersburg, in 1961, which was also called Leningrad. Then he continued his studies at the Pedagogical University, graduated in 1970.

A reminder of the youth spent in the city on the Neva River are the cycles of works dedicated to St. Petersburg. Now the artist lives in Naberezhnye Chelny, whose landscapes also already made up an impressive series in his creative luggage. Viktor Romanovich has been participating in various exhibitions for over 25 years. Since 2000, he has been a member of the Union of Artists of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tatarstan.

In 2009, Viktor Semykin became a laureate in a competitive exhibition held in Naberezhnye Chelny. His works adorn the art galleries of Nizhnekamsk and Naberezhnye Chelny, as well as many private collections abroad.
