The exhibition "My Quiet Homeland ..." is dedicated to the anniversary of Dmitry Belyukin

ST. PETERSBURG. In the exhibition hall "Manege" located on St. Isaac’s Square, a personal exhibition of the youngest academician, people’s artist Dmitry Belyukin, prepared for the fiftieth anniversary of the master of painting, began work. The exposition of the exhibition is composed of more than eight hundred works of various subjects and techniques.

The exhibition was called "Quiet My Homeland…", becoming the most ambitious representation of the artist’s works. Having visited the Manege, connoisseurs of painting will be able to see not only the well-known works of Dmitry Belyukin, but also recently completed by the artist. The exhibition presents a series of color illustrations made for the gift edition of the novel "Eugene Onegin", which also exist as completely independent genre works.

A large series of landscapes, constantly replenished by the artist, is known as the "Holy Places of Orthodoxy." It includes not only landscapes, but also the interiors of Russian and Greek churches, types of monasteries. The volume of the exhibition is so large that it allows visitors to get acquainted with the "kitchen" of the painter, to see the stages of preparation for writing monumental paintings.

At the exhibition you can see full-scale studies, drawings written by the artist during the work on the paintings. For the first time, viewers will be able to fully get acquainted with portraits and landscapes executed with charcoal pencil. The series “Wounds of Afghanistan”, once banned for a wide display, also entered the exhibition. Many paintings written on historical topics familiarize visitors with various eras of the Life of St. Petersburg.

The exhibition "My Quiet Homeland…" has already been seen in many Russian cities, and now it can be met in St. Petersburg by May 25th.
