An exhibition of Zurab Tsereteli opened in Irkutsk. The author promised to come later

IRKUTSK. In the art museum. Sukachev June 11 opened a personal exhibition of Zurab Tsereteli, one of the most famous artists of the world level. Residents of Irkutsk will see the master’s work for the first time, earlier citizens who were interested in the work of the Master could get acquainted only with individual works of Tsereteli.

The basis of the exposition of the opened exhibition, entitled “Heart on the palette”, was painted by the artist, as well as enamels and reliefs. However, sculptural compositions can also be seen. Among them are the works of Tsereteli dedicated to our contemporaries - Vysotsky and Rostropovich.

Almost all of the works presented at the exhibition were completed by the artist over the past ten years. As the daughter of the artist, Elena Tsereteli, said at the opening of the exhibition, the works for the exhibition were carefully selected. They should have been of interest to visitors to the exhibition and fit well into the museum space. The exhibition hall in the museum has a solid size, so large-scale paintings painted by Tsereteli, were placed quite successfully. There was a place and copies of the famous monument "Good conquers evil."

Unfortunately, Zurab Tsereteli himself was unable to attend the opening of the exhibition; he was in Greece, where the opening ceremony of the monument to the Apostle Paul took place. The artist will come to Irkutsk in a few days. Tsereteli’s works adorn many cities of the world, so it’s quite possible that after the exhibition some work of the master will remain in Irkutsk.

At the opening exhibition, about a hundred works by the artist are presented, confirming the uniqueness of his creative talent. He works in virtually all genres and techniques of fine art. The exhibition of Tsereteli’s works awaits visitors until August 12th.
