The second exhibition of the project dedicated to the anniversary of Joseph Pavlishak has opened

KALUGA. On September 12, the gallery of the House of Music hosted the opening of an exhibition of Kaluga artist Joseph Pavlishak dedicated to his ninetieth birthday. At the opening of the gallery gathered a very respectable number of people. Most of them are not just lovers of fine art, but people who personally knew the artist.

The exhibition, which opened at the House of Music, is the second part of the exhibition project dedicated to the round date. In honor of the anniversary of Joseph Pavlishak, four expositions will be opened in different halls of the city. The first of them, which opened on September 5 in the exhibition space of the Obraz gallery, many of the city residents have already seen, and some even attended its opening.

Events of this magnitude in Kaluga have not yet happened. For the first time, the artist’s life and work will be presented within a month, and the expositions will be located in various exhibition spaces. The size of the first exhibition is not too large - in the main part, sketching works were presented, and the emphasis was placed on two bright paintings - “Collective farm initiative” and “Gurzuf”.

The opening was attended by guests from the city administration who recalled Joseph Pavlishak not only as a talented master of painting, whose works are stored in the collection of the Art Fund of the Russian Federation, but also as a talented leader, who has headed the branch of the Union of Artists of Kaluga for many years. At the initiative of Joseph Pavlishak, the Artist’s House was built in Kaluga.

The initiator of the anniversary project was the daughter of the artist, Anna Senatova. She works as the head of the gallery of the House of Music, where the second exhibition of the project is now working. Visitors to the next exhibition will be invited to the House of Artists, where on September 25 the third exhibition of the project dedicated to the Kaluga master of painting will be opened.
