The exhibition presents more than 150 works by famous masters from the collection of the State Hermitage. The main exhibits of the exhibition are paintings, however, it also included printed graphics made in France at the end of the 19th century. The exposition is supplemented with objects related to decorative and applied art, helping to understand how diverse the artistic phenomena in France of the Art Nouveau era were.
The names of the artists whose paintings are presented at the exhibition are impressive. Claude Monet, whose works are considered the best examples of impressionism, unusual “staircase” compositions by Auguste Renoir, who for the first time left the Hermitage.
The exhibition will run until the end of February.
