The exhibition of paintings that opened in Orel is part of a unique project

EAGLE. An exhibition of contemporary art of painting “Such a different 20th century” has opened in the Kurnakov Gallery. The peculiarity of this exhibition was not only the opportunity to get acquainted with the works of contemporary artists, which appeared among the inhabitants of Orel, but that at the same time, at the same time and day, exhibitions of contemporary painting were opened in nine other Russian regions.

The work of all exhibitions began at 4 pm on November 26th, which was made possible thanks to the creation of the project “From century to century.” They will also close at the same time, on December 26th. Since the concept of each exhibition is different, they have a different name.

However, the creation of all the expositions of the project, conducted with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, had a single goal - to show the stages of development of fine art in various regions of the country, from the second half of the twentieth century to the present day. To give exhibition visitors the opportunity to see the differences between works of art of all genres in different decades.

The inhabitants of Orel will get acquainted with the graphic and pictorial works of artists from those cities, which also host a similar exhibition. Presented at the exhibition and sculpture, and work belonging to the arts and crafts.

60 works were selected for the exhibition in Orel. This is not too much, however, this exhibition was prepared for display in a record short time - in just three weeks. Therefore, it is worth noting that all the works available to visitors to the gallery for inspection, represent the work of the most interesting artists working in Orel, Murom, Bryansk, as well as in other cities of the regions participating in the project.

Within the framework of the project, master classes in painting art will be held in all participating cities.
