The unique project of Salvador Dali at an exhibition in Izhevsk

Izhevsk. Until August 17, an exhibition from the Moscow agency "Art Guide" "Salvador Dali." Holy Message. " Art lovers of the capital of Udmurtia had a unique opportunity to see the genuine works of one of the most shocking artists.

The exhibition presents a graphic series, which is the largest work Salvador Dali . It consists of Bible illustrations provided from a private collection of an Italian collector. The series includes 105 lithographs. None of them are in Russian museums.

The authenticity of each of the works of Salvador Dali is confirmed by international experts. In addition, each lithography is accompanied by a certificate from an international organization based in Rome - “European Union - Art Experts”. All the artist’s works included in the exposition also received the opinion of experts from the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation.

The history of this graphic series began in 1963, when Salvador Dali received a proposal to create illustrations for the new edition of the Bible. For two years, the artist was very enthusiastic about the project. The result of hard work was 105 works, during the creation of which Dali used a mixed graphic technique, which combined pencil, watercolor, ink, gouache and pastel.

In 1967, the work of translating drawings in lithography, which gave them even more expressiveness, was completed. Moreover, each of the prints made is an original and has its own artistic value. A project of a similar scale in the work of Dali did not happen anymore.

The organizers of the exhibition opened for the Russians new facets of the work of the famous master, presenting the world of biblical stories created by Dali.
